My balance was unsteady, I would run into doorjams and things. I was right handed and it shook so badly that I could hardly get a fork to my mouth. My speech was slowed down dramatically but I could still be understood. My coordination overall was affected but the virus seemed to affect my right side more than my left. I taught myself how to write with my left hand when I was about 12 years of age, it was nearly getting impossible to write with my right hand it shook so badly plus I had to hold my right hand with my left so I made the switch. I’m unsure as to what the virus is called that attacked my cerebellum. I do have papers from years back that say it might have been a form of Encephalitis or Cerebral Ataxia? The doctors were sure it was a virus that did attack my Cerebellum though. I am now 39 years old and I pretty much seem the same. My learning abilities were not affected.
