Amnesia theory

by: Margot on Mon, May 07 2007

After experiencing amnesia many times, with all the pertinent tests (MRIs etc) my neuroligist theorized that I could have had a silent stroke which then continues with occasional silent electric activity…which then creates the amnesia occurances…the first diagnosis was Global Amnesia, but the frequency of occurances changed that. For the silent seizures (?) I was put on a drug called Lamictal. It hasn’t worked.

I take many vitamins, am in very good physical condition…minus all the minor infirmities of age. I am 86 years of age, looking forward to 98, my Mothers age when she passed on…I’m open to help with any other theories !
