To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Living with Myasthenia Gravis I was diagnosed with MG when I was 16 years old. I was a very active athlete and participated in various sports. Upon my diagnosis, I was advised to stop competitive sports. I just couldn’t. I played out my high school career and also played two years of college basketball. Myasthenia Gravis is a barrier, but it is not an end-all. You learn to deal with weakness and fatigue and live on. I do everything that I want and work out everyday. I’m a full time college student and I work full time as well. It takes some planning and strategizing but I do EVERYTHING that I want. I’ve gone into crisis twice, but its a small price to pay in order to live my life the way I want, not the way that my Myasthenia Gravis delegates me to have. I can do it, so can everyone else!
