To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download MSA In June 2005 my husband, experienced difficulties with balance and coordination. In July 2005 he went to see a neurologist at UCLA, who observed major differences in my husband’s blood pressure during sitting and standing positions. Other symptoms that became noticeable were movement or posture difficulties, including loss of balance, difficulty walking and muscle aches well as sleep apnea and associated disorders, loss of bladder or bowel control, and impotence. Although not severe as of yet, we have noticed an increased worsening of these symptoms. In September 2006, we decided to try acupuncture in hopes of some remission or relief. We are not sure at this time whether or not this acupuncture has helped slow the actual progress or if the problem itself is not MSA. Some physicians claim my husband has disease. Others cannot give a clear diagnosis and are unsure of whether or not he actually has it (his pet scan was normal in 2005 and 2006).
