The Unknowen

I had early signs of MS before I was diagnosed in 2003. My father said this makes since to him of all my clumsiness. One symtom I had my earlier years was menears disease. I had also before that had scarring of the heart. When I was 20 years old I had chest pains. The emergency doctor said it was probably gout. Later on I had heart aches. Upon reading the test results a heart specialist put me on heart medication. He also found that two valves of the heart are leaking. When my first severe episode occurred I had muscle damage of the eyes and that made my vision stacked and blurry. I was put on Avonex injections. I stayed on that for over a year. From day one my body didn’t do well with Avonex. Avonex caused more problems. I now have thyroid problems(Graves Disease).

I am also on oxygen now. My visions comes and goes. I also now have problems with my arms and legs being numb and tired feeling. I think my MS is the relapsing kind. My neurologist has been a Godsend. He knows what I need to over come the relapse. My memory is terrible. I am now on Rebif injections. These seem to be better for my treatment. I rarely have problems with it.I am thankful for each day. There are others that has worse things happening to them.
