To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download multiple sclerosis I’ve just been diagnosed as having MS I was told years ago that I had peripheral neuropathy and was being treated for that since 2002. But the more I read about MS the more I realize that I’ve had it for far longer than I thought. Back in 1996 or 1997, I had a severe itching in both of my feet. I tried calamine lotion, but it wasn’t very effective. Finally I had my husband take me to the emergency room, where they gave me Allegra to counter act the itching. No one was ever able to tell me what caused the itching, but at least I could get it to stop within 20 minutes of taking an Allegra. It would flare up every now and then. Then in 2002, I did a lot of driving in a short time. All of a sudden it felt like socks were rolled up under my toes. I was given a nerve conduction test and told that I had peripheral neuropathy So, I tried all kinds of treatments, but nothing worked. I switched neurologists, had another nerve conduction test, and given more drugs that didn’t work. I switched neurologists and have found a wonderful doctor. He’s very thorough and wants to find the root cause of illnesses. He’s the one that found the MS through an MRI And it answers so very many questions!!! I’m thrilled to finally be diagnosed correctly! And I can’t wait to start treatments! Comments
