Sister’s Undiagnosed neurological movement disorder

by: harry on Sat, Apr 14 2007

my sister (70 years old) has a slowly progressing movement disorder which the best neurologysts in australia are unable to diagnose, much less cure.

although she is very bright and alert and still takes care of herself, her symptoms have slowly worsened over the last 5 years and include: severe balance disturbance, involuntary limb movements (especially legs), inability to judge step sizes or walk on sand or wet surfaces. if she falls she can not get up by herself except if she can pull herself up on something.

she has been tested and cleared of: parkinsons, huntingtons and ms

does anyone have similar syptoms and/or know a treatment??
