To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download post pregnancy migraine I had my 1st migraine at 19. I was prego with my 1st child. At 31, I delivered my 4th. About 2 dys after delivery I started with the worst migraine ever. My OB at the time prescribed 2 hydrocodone as needed or every 6hours. I could not take 2, it knocked me out. After another 24hrs of suffering, my mother called the OB back. An older Dr was on call. He gave very specific instructions. Take 1 hydrocodone and drink 1 beer. I would have tried anything, so I followed instructions and within 20 mins or so I felt as though a cap of pain was slowly being slid off. When that dose wore off, 6hours or so later, I took another. Within 3 doses I was good as new! I had never taken hydrocodone before, and only 1 time since after a surgery. I still get migraines Usually around my menses cycle. Why did this work? Is there a simular remedy without the hydrocodone (I don’t like to take medicines that strong)? Comments
