To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download living with migraine I am 39 years of age, and whilst I had suffered migraine in my early 20’s, I had not experienced any episodes for a vast number of years. My migraines now are quite different to those I had years ago, and in fact are only one part of the problem. This new wave of migraines have created a permanent problem with vertigo, which is probably more frustrating than the headaches. I had a number of scans, both CT and MRI and Migraine Associated with Vertigo (MAV) is the diagnosis. The migraines last anywhere from a few hours to a few days - the vertigo is pretty much permanent. As someone who has plenty to do in life, its hard to come to terms with this - but when the attacks happen, I have to succumb to the fact that whatever I have planned will have to wait. Hoping to start medication in the next week to at least help prevent the migraines, but more importantly to reduce the vertigo I hope this helps others to feel that they are not alone in their suffering.
