To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download SPINAL MENINGITIS I was had spinal meningitis when I was 7 years old and almost died due to be treated for Mononucleosis at our local hospital. The Military would not let me in due to the fact they said I would not make it through their entrance exam. I had most of my damage from this illness in my legs. Some areas of my legs are very sensitive but, other areas I can hardly feel any pain at all. I currently have spastic moments in my legs but, all I have to do is move my legs and they stop shaking. I was recently involved in an auto accident where someone hit us from behind early in the morning. This crash killed my step-daughter and injured her fiance, my wife and I. I am now told that due to my spinal meningitis. I will be stuck using the walker that I am now using daily to walk around. Even before the accident I was falling at work. I feel like my life is falling apart because, the dr said he thought I would get worse as I got older. I am a Christian and am hoping that I can find a way to have the lords mercy on me to let me walk again without the walker, a cane or quad-cane. My wife does not seem to be very happy with the fact that I can barely do anything now to help her around the house. Comments
