To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Adult Hydocephalus Help Needed! I was diagnosed w/Hydrocephalus after a MRI showed a bulge in my 4th Ventricle 2 yrs ago. Maybe it was coincidental, but I’d had an Epidural that ‘went bad’ after the DR punctured my Spinal Cord and 1 day later I came ‘down’ w/a roaring in my ears, blurry vision, along w/problems standing that lasted for 3-5 days. My VA Primary Health provider (an LPN) noticed my eyes weren’t dilating correctly along w/other abnormalities and ordered an emergency CAT, which DID show an enlarged 4th ventricle, so she then ordered up an MRI which confirmed it. My last MRI 2 yrs later showed another bulge in my 3rd ventricle, w/the 4th one still the same. I have constant headaches, low energy, sleep too much for my age of 62 and life is not very good. The VA Nuerologists tell me to just ‘live w/it’, as it isn’t large enough for surgical procedures. Since I’m a 100% Disabled VN Vet, I believe they (the VA) do not really care to employ anymore resources in correcting this problem that I believe was caused by their DR ’s inattention while performing the Epidural. I do have Spinal Stenosis due to Osteo-Athiritis and have had this for many years and it is degenerating, but they, the DR’s are aware of this and haven’t mentioned this as a cause. Any FB would be welcomed, especially from any Neurologists/Surgeons. Comments
