i was recently diagnosed with hydrocephalus. they did the spinal drain, with no complications. ie headches etc. i got up and walk. I had several visit from the neurosurgeon and he suggested that I am a good candidate for installing the shunt. he subsequently sent me home and asked me to do another CT scan then he will review my condition in a month.

I am walking but my gait is detoriating gradually. I am scared to do the shunt because they will have to operate in my head. My question. how dangerous is this procedure? will it leave me paralyse and unable to return to a normal life?
