After trying to commit suicide, I was placed in the hosp. in the mental ward for 72 hrs. it was there I, met a friend whom has become very dear to me, she was placed there to have testing done, the only way she could be admitted to the hosp. with her medicare ins. was thru the mental health section…I noticed her involuntary movements it was hard not to notice it. she was very sweet and hylarious person…I had not laugh so hard in years, honey I laugh so hard I was crying, mind you now I had just tried to kill myself, and deeply depressed. and this lady was just that funny…

as we talked we found we were the same age, both leo’s…our names very almost a like we both has spouces named dave etc etc…I left the hosp. Before she did her stay was 18 days longer than mine…the end result was huntington’s…we did not know what it was at first, just that her body movements couldn’t be controlled…we stayed in touch after leaving the hosp.

In less than a year I have watch the movement getting worse she said it made her so tired the movements never stopped but sometimes they would slow down, but not for long, she now slurs her words and skips over other words…she is no longer that funny person I had met…she can still care for herself, but at this speed it wont be long, before she will need help with this.

driving is becoming hard to do…shopping is hard people keep asking if they can help her. bless her heart when she told me this, she was asking why would people keep doing this?? She did not realize her movements were that obvious…i’m sorry to say she knows now…my heart breaks for my dear friend as I watch her melt away….
