HD Caregiver

There is nothing to be afraid of, this is the life some people may have to live. Unfortunatley HD effects many people each day for some young and some old. It dosn’t matter if your rich or less fortunate than others. Every human on this earth is put here for a reason, a reason to be charished, loved, cared for and excepted for the way you are. My story may be different from those who may be reading or sharing your own personal experience.
I am only 18 years old and my boyfriend’s father has HD for the past 10 years now. Him and I thought it would be in his father’s best interest to move in with him and take care of him. I can tell you from my personal experience it isn’t easy not easy at all. It is almost like taking care of a young child in a way. I really to be honest didn’t know what I got my self into. As the days go i come to know that he really needs us. If it weren’t for us I don’t know where he would be. His father will be his father regardless of his disease. Yes he may not be like you and I but he’s still loving, caring and god does he have a sense of humor. I may have a few helpful things that keeps him healthy and may do the same for you. He lifts weights 4-5 times a week, he eats healthy and takes his daily vitimins. I hope one day and one day soon research makes a break through and finds a cure for HD I guess only time will show it’s purpose. Thank you for those who took the time to read my story, and may God Bless You.
