post op MVD surgery

I have been living with HFS for over 10 years now. Been on Botox for about 6 years. I’m writing this from my hospital bed 5 days after having MVD. I awoke from the surgery with a screaming headache and vomiting. Morphine was increased. I suffered from nausea. 5 days after MVD I’m still on medication for pain and nausea. My eye is still twitching and my left side hearing is damaged. My equilibrium is affected. According to the surgeon the op went well and all should return to normal once everything has settled.

Yes, you are only a couple weeks postop. Lots of folks take 6-12 months to heal and for spasms to disappear. Hang in there, and keep your hopes up!...Read
