To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download permanent pain after GBS Both my wife (Jackie) and I had GBS in 2000 I only had it mildly, mainly in the legs so never needed treatment, but Jackie went down hill quickly .She was ill at home I called out three doctors over three day,s! two said hypertension the third new straight away as his wife had contracted GBS. Jackie was in hospital for 7 months! I had to download information and pass it on to hospital staff to read as they had no info: on it!!! At her worst she was paralised form neck down, blind and deaf!! in rehab she had to learn to walk and feed herself. She gradually improved and we moved to Perth in Australia for the heat and to be near family, the first few years she had a spell of falling (3 times} breaking both wrists and ankles!!She,s a stubborn lady and refuses to give in to it and spends hours raising money for the RSPCA but the downside is she is constantly in pain with hands and feet,I massage the hands which gives her some relief, she has tried just about everything for some relief even some rubbish tablets from the USA advertised on a GBS site!! So fight on all you sufferers, the cure might be just around the corner! Happy New Year. Mike. Comments
