Guillian-barre

In 1954 I was 6 years old and had contracted GBS This was something very new to the medical world then, so my treatment was not immediate. This disease had accelerated until I was paralyzed from the neck down. Most articles today say that a person is fully back to normal in days, weeks, months from GBS.

Has there been any research or follow-ups to verify these findings that a person is actually without any side-effects from this disease in later years?
