    Hi My Name is Christian. I am a 45 year old fireman. In June of 2005 I had a spinal fusion of L4 & L5. About 10 days later I started feeling extreme abdominal pain. I went to the hospital and was treated for the pain only and went home. During the next 4 days I went to the hospital 2 more times. During this time I had complete intestinal blockage (paralysis) as well as facial paralysis, the pain was like nothing I had ever experienced. Again I was not properly diagnosed. [more..]

    April 27, 2004 should have been a great time in my life. I had been retired for a year and just beginning to enjoy the easier life. With no warning other than a bad night sleep with an ache in the middle of my back that wouldn’t go away about dawn I finally woke my husband and asked him to drive me to the emergency room at our local hospital.
