I asked my doctor about the new drug Chantix in December of 2006, and she prescribed it. Chantix took away any possibly gratification a cigarette could bring to s smoker. I was able to quit smoking with Chantix. At that time, Chantix only warned of side effects such as vivid dreams and nausea. No problem, I thought! But, on my 1-week follow-up visit I told my doctor that my body ached all over as if I had the flu. She checked me for Lymes, low thyroid and RA but all tests came back normal, so we just let it go.
