Dealing with Essential Tremors

Here’s my story. I was diagnosed with essential tremors in April 2004 I was 40 years old then. I was in my 20’s when I noticed my hands would shake but I didn’t pay it no mind. Like everyone I have my good days and my bad days. I not only have tremors in my hands I have them in my head, mouth, arms, stomach, and legs. There is no easy way to live with these tremors all I can say is that I try to compensate for the things I can’t do anymore. It takes me forever to clean because I have to stop and sit for a while cause I can’t stand more than 5 minutes at a time or my legs start to shake. I can tell you that I am on 200mg zoloft a day and that helps with the depression of feeling like I’m helpless because of the things I can’t do anymore. I’m seeing a counselor but that doesn’t seem to be working for me. Well what else can I say except don’t let your tremors rule you because I refuse to let them take over my life.
