My maternal grandfather had ET and the condition is quite common in my family. I take Propranalol which helps but does tend to make me drowsy. My aunt is considering surgery as meds do not seem to control her tremors Meds no longer help my Mom much either. My children have it in varying degrees. The tremors get far more intense as the stress level goes up. Sometimes I feel the tremors inside and out. When very pronounced I may even have difficulty speaking. And as I age it worsens. I read Katherine Hepburn opted out of having surgery saying she didn’t think it necessary to sustain her career or life. Guess I’m in good company! Comments
