As someone who has never had health issues, this was quite a shock, however no more than for my husband. I don’t see myself having the seizures he does and every time it happens, he deals w/ it. It scares the living daylights out of him, but he stays calm and in control. I had my first seizure before finding out I was pregnant, so my first thought after finding out I was pregnant was, ‘what about my baby’, then after the diagnosis, it just snowballed. What’s going to happen to my baby? If I don’t take medication, it’ll be too dangerous for the baby, if I do, than it could be deformed… I chose the lesser of 2 evils, the medication. Call me the eternal optimist, but I’d rather be selfish and try to have this baby (I’m in my 1st trimester), than not medicate, risk other seizures and lose the baby. Thought I would share… Comments
