To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Living with epilepsy since the age of 3 Epilepsy has taken many oppertunities away from me. I’d a fever of 105 at the age of 2-3, and this had given me auras that I couldn’t understand, or explain. I remember at this age having an aura, and tugging on my Mother’s dress. I couldn’t talk, or tel her what was going on, because I couldn’t explain it. it wasn’t until and EEG at the age of 18 that I’d been properly dignosed, and at the time put on 3mg of dilantin. I then went to 4mg for 20 years, and after an blood test, was told I’d have to terminate this medication. I’d then been put on 90mg of neurontins, and recently went to 180mg, where I now feel a big difference. Again, it’s taken many oppertunities away from my life, and this I am sure has prevented me from my desired goals in life. I do have a drivers license, and do not have gran mals anymore, just petite. These auras are more scary than any movies, or anything I’d ever experienced. Many do not comprehend this. These had control over me. I often have problems with a tempature change on my skin, and will go under a blanket, or put a long sleeve shirt on. If I do this right away, it will often terminate this aura. Bowl movements cause this, and excitement or anger as well. I wanted to know if there’s anyone out there that understands this. Please, tell me about your auras. I haven’t been able to talk to anyone that’s understood me, not even a Neurologist. Thank you, Kent Comments
