At first he was diagnosed with Bi Focal Epilepsy because he was a child & only had them while he slept. He was put on Tegratol meds which helped control it all.The only set backs we had were when he would grow or gain weight, he would siezure [seizure] because the levels would drop. We were told he would grow out of it because it was a childhood epilepsy Ben is now 17 years old & the latest EEG shows his brain is sparking off in all different places (as a child it was confined to his right temporal lobe),His meds keep increasing to control it , but he still siezures when the dose isn’t high enough & he is now aware of them. I don’t think he will grow out of it and it scares me to think because of this awful condition his life could be cut short. As a parent you feel so helpless and it breaks your heart Comments
