Living with Status Absence Seizures

My daughter has been suffering from absence seizures since she was 4. She’s now 27. They almost always occur in her sleep right before she wakes up in the morning. Once they occur, they keeping happening until she can fall into a deep sleep. Usually Diastat works, but lately it hasn’t been working. She just came off lamictal and started keppra - only at 750 mg in am and 750 mg in pm. Doctor said it needs to be increased to 1000 mg twice a day as she is having breakthroughs. Does anyone out there have seizures like this? She is such a beautiful girl — she works and goes out but has been having a rough time of it lately.
