VNS Opinions Needed

I have had focal seizures for over 30 years, also have had 2 grandmals years ago. This started because of brain surgery for an AVM.

The focal seizures have become much more frequent and with a higher intensity over the years. I am on 4 different meds currently and have had them changed so many times over the years that I can’t count anymore.

We have recently move and my new doctor has recommended a VNS. Some sort of simulator was recommended by UCSF some years ago. I meet with a person about the VNS early next week.

Of course I’m scared. Can anyone share their experience with me - good or bad.
