Although the doctors think I was born with it. It started out to be only petite mal and with in about 2yrs I was haveing partial complex. They some what got them under control. Until I was in a car accident when I was 19. All of a sudden at least from what i remember I started to have grand-mals. The doctors said that it was probably there before the accident. I didnt care I was too depressed I just wanted it to stop. My parents I tried everything money was going fast. It seemed if years/hours had finally turned into minutes. Finally when I was 26 yrs old my parents helped me get on some insurance thru this hospital. That Hospital saved my life in more ways then one. The Hospital is in Denver, Colorado. At last the neurology team took over. Over the next several years I went on and off meds just to find the mix of medication. I finally found it. Im now 29yrs old I can function in society. It took awhile. I still have some break throughs. The vagal nerve stimulater works great or as they say (VNS). For my grandmals non since they put it in. the meds are great. What Im trying to tell everyone is it took me 29yrs to be at this great place and happy so dont give up you will find your meds and get control just stick with it. Just keep smiling Comments
