This is just happening with my cousins young son who is abt. 1 1/2 yrs. old. Last week he was sleeping and had a fever which spiked suddenly and he started having a seizure She called 911 and they had to resuscitate him. He was admitted to stay in the hospital a day. When he was being released in the ER, he started seizuring again. So he was transferred to another hospital. He stayed again another night. He was given some medicine in case it happened again. Two days ago he started having a seizure and this time there was no fever. He has had all kinds of tests and the doctors say there is no reason for them. Now he’s been put on some kind of medicine which he needs to be on for at least a year, but it has severe side effects. My cousin is taking him to a children’s hospital next week after he’s released to be seen there. He does have health problems such as sleep apnea, asthma allergies, heart problems and is on medicine for these things. I heard having lack of oxygen with sleep apnea causes it. If anyone could share info on this I’d appreciate it.
