To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My Epilepsy Diagnosis Was Real Six years ago, I had the first seizure of my life (grand mal) after painting & tile in the bathroom. I didn’t remember it (all tests at hospital were neg.) I took dilantin for 5 1/2 yrs. without anymore seizures When I tried weaning off meds.,I was ok for 2 1/2 mths. and then had a seizure As I was trying to wean off dilantin again on to another med., I experienced a series of seizures, one resulting in a fall (broken wrist). I am now on dilantin, hoping it will work. When I was on meds the first time, I had a false sense of security that this was an isolated incident-I truly think that if I didn’t make the decision to go off meds, I would be ok now. This is just my experience. Hope it is helpful. Comments
