To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My Baby and Seizures my son was only 1 yr. when he had his first big seizure i was changing his clothes for the day, he started to shake i didn’t know what to do so i woke up his father, we called for help. when we got to the hospital the dr. did an x-ray and said it was from a fever. so january 20th of 2007 the day before my 25th birthday he had another. this time i was more scared than the first time we were home alone. i had just taken his temp. and looking for some tylonal when his little brother came and told me there was something wrong with his brother. i didn’t think of him having another seizure since the dr. told me before that it was from a fever and he will grow out of it by the age of 3, he is now 5, he will turn 6 in april. so i went in the bedroom to were he was, he was laying in some vomit and had slober coming out of his mouth looking at the wall. i started yelling his name and shaking his arm to try to get his attention he would not look at me he was shaking all over. i didn’t know what to do. i don’t know why but i called his aunt for help. i got lucky, b/c she was already at the door getting ready to come in. it took her a while to understand what i was saying. she came in and asked me what was wrong i took her to the room she called for an ambulace. we went to the er and again the dr. told me it was from a fever. i finally took him to a dr. at children’s hospital. she did some tests on him and when she got the results she called us in. she told me he has seizures i asked her what kind he has and she looked at me and said “i am sorry i can’t tell you, b/c he has a litte bit of every knid” so now he is on meds for them. they seem to be helping but the side effects are he is more hyper, eats all the time, he can’t sleep. but he has not had a seizure so far. i thank god everyday that he hasn’t had one.
