To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My Kids I have three boys they are 12 years,2years and 3 months all were born with what the Dr.s called congenital tortocollis, but never told me this was a type of dystonia. My 12 years old neuologist now thinks that he might have cerebal [cerebral] palsy due to how tight his ligaments and tendons have spasms every once in a while.I myself have very tight tendons and ligaments,I have just started physical therapy due to my foot twisting inward. My foot wasn’t always like this ,it started about a year ago.At my evaluation the physical therapist noticed that my reflexes were faster on one side than the other(my left is faster than the right) and my hips and leg muscles were very tight, they were also starting to deform alittle.I dont know if this is dyistonia or not but I think I might ask my neurologist to check for it.I have two twin cousins that have a very rare form of dystiona. They were one of the first to try the dopimine therapy. Now they are in better health since the treatments.
