desperate for answers

by: Sandra on Tue, Jun 26 2007

My mother is 66 yrs old. The last year her personality has changed and she has been deteriating since. She sings when she wants to cry - too lazy to clean the house, stays in pj’s till noon - naps during the day - very irritable - no one is genuine - her memory is ok - no major changes there. She burns food - can’t have dinner parties like she used to do on a weekly basis - can’t tolerate her 10 grandchildren for long periods. We feel we have lost our mom. We are all so sad….we want answers and want to at least know what we can do. I don’t know if it can be dementia or what???
