MOM

My mom was diagnosed with Parkison’s disease about 5 years ago. Her symptoms has worsen, but she is a strong lady and her mind would always remember and she will have my dad call me everyday and ask me when I would visit and how everyone was.

She would shake constantly, was eating very little and was having trouble having bowel movements. I took her to the Hospital and explained to them that she needed to have a bowel movement and they started her on medication after some tests and x rays. My mother hates hospitals , she kept begging me to take her back home. I assure her she will go home soon. I went home that evening after she finally dozed off with the sedative. The next morning I called several times until I was able to leave work and visit her at lunch time.

When I got there, my mom’s room was full of doctors and nurses trying to revive her. It look like our worst nightmare. She is now in the intensive care with a respirator machine and another tube in her stomach. She recuperated from neumonia, but she is not responding to pain, touch or any command. She opens her eyes and just stares at the ceiling. I believe she had lack of oxigen for a long time , doctors say her brain is Ok but she vomited and aspirated, which in turn went to her lungs, and all that plus the dementia are causing her to be like that. Is someone out there having the same situation , and has there being any changes.?
