two years and four months

my sister was in a coma 2 years and 4 months ago. before it happened, her initial complain was uti the doctors said it was sepsis and that the infection in the blood was so high that she had 2 episodes of cardiac arrest. the neurologist was very frank with us and told us to just make life comfortable for her. no hope was given. on the contrary, the rehab doctor told us that some cases recover after 2 to five years. we’re half way the five years already. but we’re not giving up. there’s been no dramatic improvement yet but no organs were failing at the moment. I believe that only God knows what will happen to her. Things happen for a reason. If you have someone in your family in the same state, don’t give up on hope.
