To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Cerebral palsy My daughter (Disha) is 2.5 years today (May 2007). She was diagnosed for cerebral palsy when she was 6 months and hell broke on our family. She is my only kid. The important thing is diagnosis first happened at home when Disha’s grand mother (my mother) felt that she is not moving the right side of her body. We immediately did the CT Scan, MRI etc and the treatment began immediately. Apart from the pysiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist, Disha’s mother spends about 6-8 hours everyday on various aspects of her development. My personal experience is that the child will improve based on how much time the family can spare. It can become challenging but one must continue with the efforts. I know my daughter will have to live with this disease for ever, but we are trying to do everything we can, to make whatever difference we can make. Even a little improvement can make her life little better. I am in India. I can also share more information. If you have any usful information by people who have gone through such experiences, please write back if you could spare few minutes of yours. Regards Comments
