I hope I didn’t wait too long for surgery.

I have had carpal tunnel for a number of years now. When I forget to use the wrist braces when I sleep sometimes I wake up and my thumb, index and middle fingers are numb. When I lived at my last apartment I had no dish washer and my boyfriend went out and bought 24 new drinking glasses at a local thrift shop. Because of my carpal tunnel I broke all 24 of those glasses within 6 months. My grip strength had declined from the carpal tunnel and I couldn’t hold on to the glasses. Sometimes I get numbness in my fingers when I drive my car. I always get numbness in my fingers when riding my bicycle. I am a legal secretary and type a lot. I am getting surgery because I want to be able to use my hands as I grow older. I do know the muscles at the base of my thumbs have flattened out. I really hope this surgery works for me. I’ll write back after the surgery.
