To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download I am surviving I was diagnosed with oligodendroglioma grade III on May 21, 2009, it was about the size and shape of a pear in the right frontal temporal lobe. Had surgery on June 2, 2009 in which 85% was resected. The NO left in gliadial wafers. I started radiation two weeks later along with Temodar 140mgs 7 days a week. I survived the surgery with no problems. I still had all motor skills with no visable side effects. I just finished with my 6 weeks (30 treatments)of radiation and chemo The only side effect I had during my treatments was fatigue. Amazingly enough I had no nausea. I did lose my hair where they were giving the radiation treatments, so I have this mohawk kind of thing going on. By the way I am only 37 years old with two children still at home (single mother. I really feel I have been richly blessed. I go back to my NO on Septembe 10, 2009 for a MRI to see what is going on, but I feel really good about the results as I have the these missing chromosomes that supposedly make this cancer receptive to the radiation and chemo So right now i feel “Too blessed to be stressed” Hope this gives hope to someone who needs it. Here to prove that brain cancer is not an automatic “death sentence.” Comments
