Soon enough it was back and stayed with her. It spread to many places throughout the body and eventually entered the brain. We didn’t notice anything too far from the norm until we were on the trip to her last 7 states. She couldn’t handle the elevation and had to be taken down to a lower elevation while on oxygen tanks. We finished the trip early and stayed at a lake in OK which is when we really noticed a change. She was forgetting most of what she said and would say that she told us to do something when everyone knew she never had. Long story short, we finished that trip early and took her to the hospital where she was diagnosed with brain cancer she wasn’t given much time. Over the next 2 weeks, our family stayed with us as her condition worsened and it finally got to the point where she was too hard to handle. We had to put her in the hospital for the last week. Most of the time she didn’t even remember who we were but usually, when they are almost gone, there is one moment of clarity. All I can say is make sure you’re there for it because it could be your last moment to have with them when they ARE them. Comments
