To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Brain Cancer - What Comes Next? My husband was found to have a brain tumor (glioblastoma multiforme) during the labor day week end in 2007. Now it is March of 2008 and there have been very few days where the biggest item of thought was his cancer. We are on our second round of therapy using new chemo strategies and the side effects are daunting to us. We don’t know if his symptoms are from the tumor (second one) or from the treatment. It would be such a help to have a consultation as part of the required course of treatment so those of us that have to work with these issues would have more information so we are more positive in our day to day lives as we cope with this disease. I have often felt like I am making decisions that are based on intuition rather than fact and I am fortunate that I can find things on the internet to help keep me informed and to learn when to ask questions as the vocabulary and disease is new to us and we don’t even know how to become informed. The first appontments with the doctors came with booklets and after that getting information became more sketchy. No one wants to talk about things as they get worse and those of us who have to be a caretaker, spouse, frind, parent or patient shouldn’t have to guess so much about whats happening. Your site has been clearer on information giving than most sites I’ve looked at. Thank you for the help! Comments
