To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download my brother /bestfriend August 2006 my brother starts with a bad headache and projectile vomit we take him to the emergency room and the doctor decides to do a exray because of the headeaches. he sees a large mass in the lower back of his brain they transfer him to another hospital to have more test done. the next day they are doing brain surgery to remove a tumor. the tumor is GBA grade 4. funny how your life changes in a span of a day. my brother is only 40 years old and a truck driver up and down the east coast..He is treated with temador and radiation then the treatment quits—So he is sent to another doctor for a case study of two differnt types of chemo that he takes 28 days straight. he is on his second round of this treatment but he is so weak and he is still taking decadron for the swelling and has put on almost 100 lbs just from swelling. The doctors say they can give him ridlin [Ritalin] to help boost his energy he is already on prozac but the ridlin is approved to work with his treatment. We are battling with the ridlin. we have always heard bad things with ridlin and Kevin is to the point he can hardly swallow his pills. Has anybody ever taken ridlin before in a case like this? Help we are learning as we go as well as others………..I was not prepared for this and am searching for answers. i am his primary care giver since he had a dud wife. i live with him and take care of him. any thoughts help would be appreciated Comments
