Botulinum Therapy for Migraine

I have suffered from migraine for over 40 years. They started when I was a teenager and over time became progressive. Seven years I was referred to one neurologist who started me on triptans. This was okay, but over time, he passed me off to others in his office I received mediocre care.

My primary doctor referred me to an excellent neurologist, who after only 4 months, diagnosed me with intractable migraine and suggested botox therapy. Sent me to a doctor who specialized in this, and it worked instantly. That was two years ago. I was one of the lucky ones, or maybe, after 40 years, it was just time. I still take other meds to get me through the tough times. And I do get trigeminal headaches. A small price to pay for this relief. So there is hope out there.

I hope and wish you the best of luck. And by the way. This doctor doesn’t think he knows everything. He looks at the diagrams each and every time. And I have never doubted his ability.
