BP is trying…

by: jl on Mon, Mar 17 2008

I had a migraine for 4 days when I finally sought a Dr’s intervention. He gave me steroids and an antibiotic. Two days later, I started showing symptoms of BP. I look like I had a stroke because I couldn’t move a muscle from my forehead down through my neck. My right upper arm is also weakened. The intense pain in my ear comes and goes, and I can’t help but wonder if this will ever stop.
Trainer, teacher, person…My profession is a trainer, and I don’t know of anyone who wants to listen to a trainer talk out of the side of her mouth, or watch her only blink one eye. I have been unable to work for two weeks, because I can’t see straight to even drive. I have a 4 year old that doesn’t understand how hard it is to read him a bedtime story, because I can’t talk without great effort. I find it difficult to just brush my teeth, let alone eat and drink. It is these little things I used to take for granted…
I have let BP get to me a few times, and when I start to cry only one eye cries, which frustrates me even more. I love to be outside, but I can’t handle the sun or wind in my eye so I bought some sunglasses to help. I look like I am trying to hide something; which I guess I am – my deformed face.
I try not to let BP stop me from every day events, but the pain in my face is intense by nightfall.
I pray to just be normal again…

Hi Everyone, I got BP on Saturday March 15th- I am on my third trimester of pregnancy with twins and the doctors said that it could be related. Regardless, they gave me the antiviral and steroids, which I took religiously- they also said there is no proof that it works- which lead me to do my own research and open my mind to any possible different treatment.
