I was 12 and 15

by: Melissa on Wed, Feb 20 2008

Hello my name is Melissa and I am now 17 years old. I woke up when I was 12 years old and I was freaked out to find my face couldn’t move my eye would not close. I mean I am 12 what am i suppose to think. I told my mom and she had no idea what this could be. She took me into the doctor and they diagnosed me with bells palsy but i also had to go out of town to see another doctor. I couldn’t go to school for a couple days because i couldn’t even talk my face just would not mote .. it was a nightmare. After I got my pills things were starting to look up. After all said and done I was left with a droopy smile and a lazy eye! I am just growing up and people are making fun of me all that time. that wasn’t always easy.

A few years went by and I was just starting my 9th grade year. I sort of learned how to deal with people. But then again.. at school I stared feeling this tighting in my face when I tryed to smile. So i went home and i landed back into the doctors office! They gave me some more pills and i went throught all the steps again. Crazy lookin face lazy eye. having to tape my eye shut! i swear this has to happen to me right! haha well all said and done my face was lookin alot better i think the second time with pills my eye got a little better but i am still not hapy with it. I hate taking pictures because that is all I can see when i stare at them. I am looking into some sugery to see if there is anything i can do. I mean bells palsy suck..trust me i had it twice haha. But i am sure all of you people know how it feels! : )

The only thing that sucks the most.. it when you meet new people and they ask you “whats wrong with your eye” or look at me funny “are you ok”

Gosh that drives me nuts

Well thats my story i hope you enjoyed it!
