To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Bell’s Palsy 7 x I’m 28, I had my first Bell’s Palsy attack when I was a little girl (age 9) and another attack in high school. During those times the attacks were intense severe pain it felt like my head was getting run over by a truck. When I hit my early 20’s it was more like a stiff kneck, ringing in the ear from the nerve swelling and headaches. I’ve had Bell’s Palsy around 7 times, I just had another attack this Christmas, it started with the stiff kneck, headaches, ringing in the ear and you tend to forget about it especially when the last attack was over 6 years ago (this was the longest waiting time between attacks). 5 days later my face was paralyzed, I was prescribed Prednisone and Acyclovir(first time being prescribed Acyclovir). Bell’s Palsy is very hard to deal with and it’s very stressful as you don’t want to smile as you only smile half ways and you don’t want to talk as pronouncing those “P’s” can be very difficult. But when you have had bell’s palsy as many times as I have you learn to get past those hard times as best as possible, now I’m not saying it’s easy as I still have a hard time but you must push forward. Today will be the first time I will try Acupuncture to get those muscles up and running, you have to be determined and motivated, do those face excersices and think positive. I wish all BP sufferers the best, remember your not alone. Comments
