To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download I have Bell’s Palsy going on 6 mos. My BP happened 30 minutes after taking Lamictal 200 mg (first time). I also had an ear infection for a week at the time. This all happened at 11:00 a.m. The rest of my face falling didn’t happen until the next morning when I woke up. My eye continued to run all day and night, and the next morning when I looked in Then I started to notice the tingling and nubeness in my mouth. For the next three months, I drank out of a straw. I still tape my eye shut to sleep. It’s been 6 months since the onset and I’m so much better. I will probably tape my eye shut for a long time, to keep it safe and well lubricated. I use an eye patch now. My smile came back after 4 months. It was the absolute worst thing to ever happen to me because I felt like a freak. I literally would not go places or see anyone for months…just cried to my husband and made him worry about me. I think when I got rid of my stress, I started to heal. I went to a neurologist and had EMG & MCI. MY PCP gave me the steroid medicine. I take vit. B everyday and put warm washrags on my face. I massase my face with oil. I did the electro-stimulation therapy. I did the facial exercises. I’m so glad I’m improving, but it was a VERY SLOW PROCESS. Hope you get better real soon Comments
