I thought I was just nervous about all these people in the room. 5 days later I had this headache like nothing I’ve ever felt before, it was worse then a migraine much worse. I was in my 3rd trimester by this point and was told by my OB to get to the ER right away so I did and everything was fine with me and my daughter. The next morning I was brushing my teeth and I couldn’t spit and I couldn’t smile. Like everyone else whose had BP I thought I was having a stroke I rushed to the ER again and for the next 8 hours I sat in the ER. They tested my eyes, which I couldn’t see out of the left one and then they gave me a CAT scan which is not the greatest thing to be getting while your pregnant. It was not a stroke thank god but it wasn’t much better news having BP. I had to sleep with an eye patch so my eye wouldn’t dry out. The headaches continued for a while but they put me on Tylenol 3 to stop the pain. It took about 3 months for the paralysis to get better but I still have the effects of having BP 6 years later. My face still doesn’t feel right, I still get headaches every once in a while. It just have never felt the same since. I exercise my face every chance I get but for me it has not been an easy road to recovery. Comments
