Bells palsy while pregnant

Ericka, I read your story & I am suffering too, I was diagnosed 11/25/06 I was 6months preganant, my baby was born in March & I still have it. I can blink now but when I try to blink that 1 left eye, my cheek goes up, when I try to raise my left eyebrow my eye starts to close, if I laugh to hard my eye starts to close, so I’ve had it now for 7 months & I’ve gotten used to it but every now & then it hurts me b/c I haven’t been able to give my baby a real genuine smile since she was born, she knows mommy as the messed up face, I’m about to cry now just thinking of it, i want to give her mommys real smile.
but I’m looking up on the good side it could be worse. I could not be here at all & this is my 1st child, but I feel your pain, I was on steroids too when I was pregnant but my neurologist took me off, I haven’t went back for a follow up yet b/c I just feel like there is nothing that’s gonna make my real face come back but time, IF THEN, be encouraged & KIT!

I am 73 years old and 2-12 years ago I had a left earache and the next morning my eye would not close and my face dropped. My doctor sent me to the emergency room for tests to be sure it wasn’t a stroke and was, in fact, Bell’s Palsy.

i just had a baby by c section and after i had fever, blood infection. i stayed in hospital for 7 day. when i came home i got headache, dry cough and a very bad neck pain. i had pins and needles on my right hand when i was pregnant, but it got worse.
