4yrs. ago this boy at 5′5 tucked for a back dive and felt a “pop”. followed by minor back aggravation. 1.5 yrs. later at track meet another such “pop” in the back area while hitting the asphalt with right foot launching a jump. week or so later was end of track. 2 plus years of ibuprofen, naproxen, flexerol patches, cat scans of spine and no answers. lets not forget starting with chiropractor no diagnosis, no pain meds. suggested antidepressants (try and tell a 17yr old that depression is diagnosed for the pain that has gotten progressively worse through the years ). it is very agitating to go 60 minutes away to a neurologist that wants to poke with needles again (turned down by patient) both mentally and physically. at my wits end with son and doctors as the mom. anyone, out there? help?
