surgery for scoliosis in 1968 and 1969

I had corrective surgery for scoliosis when I was 15. I’m 52 now. Up until recently, I thought everything was fine. Now through an MRI I’ve learned I have stenosis and bulging discs among other things.Sometimes the shooting and stabbing pains in my lower back shoot down to the sides and front of my thighs, and it is excruciating! The rest of my back is always in some sort of pain from muscle aches and tension. Fortunately, I can still play tennis 3 times a week. But, I’m worried that I won’t be able to much longer if I this pain doesn’t heal. I don’t want to have any more surgeries. I’ve tried yoga but that doesn’t work. What type of doctor should I see? Chiropractors won’t touch me because of all the surgery, and I’m afraid an orthopedic would want to do more surgery. I am not a drug seeker and do not have an addictive personality. I would like to take pain medication but do not know what kind to take. I’ve taken Tramadol but built up a tolerance to it. Percocet does not last long enough. Any suggestions? Don’t ask me how I’m able to play tennis because I can’t explain it. I’m sore the whole time I’m playing but the pain when I’m not is almost unbearable. It doesn’t last long but it happens all day long. Please help. Thank you.
