To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download my experience with autism i am a 21 year old with 3 children, one is a new born and the other two are autistic. I always wanted children from a young age but never thought that i could have a child with a disability , but i had 2 and now i am waiting to see if the 3rd child is autistic. my first child was developing normally until he was about 14 months old thats when we noticed him lining up things from one end of the room to the other, not making eye contact, ignoring us when we spoke to him, it was like as if he was deaf, and there were other things that made him seem odd. at 2 years old he had hardly any words and his behaviour was out of control, but we thought nothing of it, we didnt even know what autism was until one night my husband was watching larry king and he had a segment on about autism and every symptom he said we kept saying thats joel, he had every sign so we took him to a peadiatrition where he was diagnosed with autism a developmental delay severe speech and language delay. then later that year when my second child was 18 months, we found out that he too was autistic. so now we have 2 autistc children and one newborn and all 3 still in nappies, i think that is the hardest thing, trying to toilet train autistic children. it can be so frustrating because they cant communicate their needs, another problem is they are the fussiest eaters they hardly eat at all. we find it hard to even go for a drive because my oldest knows where everything is and if we go the wrong way he gets very upset, but out of it all i found that 3 minutes in the room helped, they hate it in there even though they have all the toys in the world that is one place they dont want to be so that has become their punnishment for hitting or pushing each other around and when they come out they are in a different mood. life may be harder but i could not imagine my life without them.
